Four ways to reduce aggressive behavior in Budgies -2

Budgies are excellent pets, and they are the most favorite species of birds that are kept as pets around the world. Their ability to multiply in colonies, as well as in individual cells is unmatched. They multiply quickly, easily and practically under any conditions. They are quite hardy birds and can adapt well in new conditions. Because of their adaptability, their population is constantly growing in captivity.

They are able to reproduce 3-4 times a year.
Despite their good breeding abilities, they sometimes exhibit some behavioral problems. During the breeding season, they often show aggression towards other buddies who breed in the colonies. It often happens that this aggression leads to the death of the budgie, and if not, then the budgie can have severe bodily harm.

You can minimize aggression in the budget by doing four simple things.

1. Give them plenty of room to fly.

In small cells, there is a greater chance that your accounts will fight. Because of the smaller cell size and smaller flight area, they are more prone to quarrel with each other. Cells that allow more flights reduce aggression from budgets. If you place more breeding pairs than the space available inside your cage, the likelihood of aggression will increase.

In large cages, where they fly more, these budgies develop strong muscles and endurance to protect them from other aggressive budgie. When a battle begins with a winner, he is more likely to run away and fly to another corner of the cage. In this case, the chances of physical injury are much less than in smaller cells, where there is not enough space to escape.

2. Place more breeding boxes than pairs

It is often good practice to provide them with more boxes for breeding than the total number of breeding pairs inside the colony. It often happens that two females simultaneously choose the same breeding box. This preference for choice can lead to a struggle between two women. When you provide them with additional boxes, the winner has many options to choose another breeding field.

3. Place boxes for breeding at some distance.

Do not place breeding boxes very close to each other. If one female chose a box, and another woman comes to the next nest, this woman will not allow her to approach her box to protect her territory. This can lead to a dangerous fight between two women. If you fix nest boxes at a distance, then there will be no territorial dispute between these two women.

4. Serve them with soft foods to reduce aggressive behavior.

If you feed your friends with soft food, at least two times weaker, you can greatly reduce the aggression in your friends. Often the lack of a proper balanced diet causes excessive aggressive behavior. Budgies that are well nourished with all the necessary nutrients, vitamins and minerals are often less aggressive. In addition to the standard seed dough diet, feed them with corn, wheat, green leafy vegetables and boiled rice to reduce this aggressive behavior.
