In summer, Jersey shores are a popular destination. It offers visitors a place where you can cool off, swim and just lie back and relax. One nirvana vacation site is located along a barrier island known as the Barnegat Peninsula. On the east side of the island there is a beautiful sandy beach and the Atlantic Ocean, and the west borders the Barnegat Bay. This unity is the only thing that remains the same as you travel from one end of the peninsula to the other. Each of the many areas found along the way has its own individuality. Let's take a look at some of these communities and see what they offer.
The northernmost communities are south of the Manasquan River and include two cities: Point Pleasant and Point Pleasant Beach. The latter is a typical Jersey beach, but with a family feel and its own commercial boardwalk. Here you can also find a small commercial craft, which has a cooperative with seafood and many good restaurants. There are also hotels, motels and, like all other places on the peninsula, a beach protected from danger. To get to the beach and support lifeguards, you will need to buy beach badges. There are daily, weekly and seasonal rates. Point Pleasant is located west of Point Pleasant Beach and is a more well-kept community than summer vacations. There is an old city center (with lots of antique shops) and some other business areas.
Moving south, the next community is Mantolok. There is a connection with the mainland, through the bridge that crosses the bay. Mantoloking is a fancy time. Many of the houses, especially along the beach, are very large and quite expensive. Tourism, which is said to be, is not so important here, since there is little commercial activity in the city, there is no boardwalk and a few places for people who do not own here.
Further south you will reach Normandy Beach, Chadwich Beach and Dover’s beaches. The appearance of the houses here contrasts sharply with what is found in the north in Mantoloking. Some areas of these communities are made up of rows of small bungalows, which can be reached via narrow sandy paths. Along the bay, though a lot of large and fancy houses, many of which contain access to Barnegat Bay and the docks right behind the rear door of each object.
Moving forward, one of them finds Lawalette and Ortli Beach. Although these cities are quite distinct, in general they are much more similar to each other compared to the other cities mentioned. Here they were once mostly small beach bungalows, but over the years most of them were replaced by larger houses. There are also several hotels and motels, villas and many rental houses. There are also some commercial areas along route 35 and more amenities.
Seaside Heights is the next stop, and this is the busiest and wildest area of them. It has a large commercial boardwalk with two marinas for entertainment and a variety of arcades, games, places for food and bars. Summer holidays in Primorye look like a spring break in Florida. A lot of teenagers. Wild parties. And a packed beach for the day.
Next is the Seaside Park. This is somewhere between Mantoloking and Lavallette / Ortley Beach. Some beautiful old and large houses are quieter and more family-oriented than more commercial seaside heights and some smaller commercial areas with shops, shops and eating places.
Finally, the last decades of the Barnegat Peninsula are different kinds of wild ones. Island Beach State Park is an undeveloped barrier island. Very unusual for NJ and a sharp contrast with the rest of the peninsula above the peninsula. You can even find wild foxes living among the dunes and sea forests in the park.
As you can see, this approximately 20 miles of the coastal barrier of the island offers many different places to visit. In a sense, it’s all the same while you are relaxing on the beach, but what you want to do (or can) do from the beach during the summer holidays on the Barnegat peninsula may have a lot in common with where you stay.
