How can I deal with my seducer?

So your four-year-old will eat nothing but cheese and crackers? Your six year old hates anything with a sauce on it. Your eight-year-old will not allow his lips to touch a vegetable if his life depends on him. What do you do? You are trying to become a good parent and offer nutritious meals to your growing children, but this is becoming more and more difficult.

As a parent and chef, I am often asked how to deal with a picky eater. First I need to give my answer and say that I am not a nutritionist or nutritionist, therefore my knowledge of nutrition is based only on what I studied for my culinary degree.

My approach to the problem of picky eater - from the point of view of the teacher and the parent. I know that children find ways to exercise power and control, and one of the best ways is food. I also know that their tastes are constantly changing, so they can love one week, they will respond to eat next week, and what they once said that they hate, they suddenly like it. I also know that when we feel pressured to do something, our natural reaction is to resist, and children are no different.

For the most part, my children were not what could be called “picky” when it came to food, although my daughter knew what she liked and when she discovered what she liked, she stuck to it. My parent's goal was to make sure that everything I gave her, she ate her ass, he absolutely had to get some food halfway through the day. I made sure that I packed the juice, which was 100% juice, not fruit “drink” or “drank”, so he got vitamins from fruit, and I baked a lot, so he usually had some homemade pastries with With my juice and sandwich, I tried to do things that had healthy ingredients.

Parents usually find out if they focus on what their children love to eat, and not on what they won't eat, they sometime come and start trying new foods. If you want your children to eat certain foods, you become a permanent battleground, you will find that they will almost always win. It is very difficult to force food through tightly sealed lips.

There are many ways in which we can tint nutrition to our children. diet. I trained my mother when she was challenged to her baby, and I asked her what he likes to eat, and together we made a list of different ways in which she could offer her favorite dishes. For example, she told me that she likes to dip food, so we thought about all the things he could dip. He also liked the yogurt very much, so we decided that we could make yogurt. We also thought why not let him put chicken strips in tomato sauce. I assured her that his limited sky would not be that way forever, and he was more likely to split with food as soon as she relaxed. So if he ate the same things every day for a few weeks or even months. This is the way he can control his world right now, and the more she bought it, the more he resisted.

What do you do when your children are older and will not eat something in front of them? You are not a cook for short orders, and if you decide that this is the case, they will prepare you a special order meal every night. Once you have done your best to prepare yourself for what most families like, that's all you can do. Teach your picky eater how to cook simple meals and let her make her own dinner, and clean herself if she doesn’t like what you cooked. The last sentence ... never hide or mask products, and never surprise children with a new taste at the last minute. Choose a day of the week when your family will know the new taste, often with regular meals. And NEVER argue about it! Make every Tuesday ... "New Food on Tuesday." Thus, no one is surprised when they come to the table and find something else, and your life can be a little easier!
