Read the Feng Shui Bagua map - what is Bagua and how to use it? -2

When I first wanted to learn about Feng Shui (Fung SHWAY), it was out of sheer curiosity. I had no idea what it was, and I do not appreciate the sense of ignorance regarding the subject. So I went to a gullible Google and did a search. Link after link I continued to find something called “bagua” (sometimes “ba-gua”). What is this bagua? I was surprised and which bagua is correct? I heard that Feng Shui has very specific rules, so the different variations in the baguses that I found bothered me.

Then I found several books that allowed me to better understand Feng Shui in general and for the fact that Bagua is used. Even they didn’t cover some of the characters I’ve seen on the Internet in baguah, so I decided to create my own bagua and an easy explanation to accompany it.

What is Bagua and how does it look?

There are several ways to use Feng Shui analysis and Bagua maps, including Schools of Thought, Compass and Black Hat schools. The Black Hat Sect method is the simplest, largely depends on intuition, and not on specific directions of the compass, and bagua is their only tool, so I found the Black Hat method best for learning to read Feng Shui Baga.

bagua (BAH-gwa) —This is a very simple Feng Shui tool used as a map to determine which parts of a space — this space — the house, the office building, the room, or the yard — correlate with certain areas of life. You can find many different bagua cards by searching for “bagua” in Google Images.

Once we know which area of space corresponds to the life aspiration, we can improve our environment in such a way that our environment helps us achieve our goals.

Sound hockey? Think of it this way: if you felt stressed, what would you do at home to make yourself feel less tense? You could Use the principles of feng shui, such as color or sound psychology, to make a room in your home more conducive to relaxation.

Sometimes the bagua has a square shape with nine sections, and sometimes it looks like a nine-second octagon. In any case, they include the same sections and are read in the same way. I like to use the octagon because it’s traditional, but it can help start by using a square bagu map, which is a square divided into a tic-tac-toe board, to create nine sections.

What do the Bagua sections and symbols mean?

In addition, various Bagua maps call different sections of Bagua different things. These different terms are all ways of signing and explaining the same sections, so no need to worry or feel embarrassed. For example: the Wisdom section can also be called the “Knowledge or Education” section; While the terms mean different things, this section of the Bagua includes all these meanings and therefore you can name any of them.

The following nine sections / life aspirations are used on my Bagua map, each of which has a color:

Career / life - career, business, life path (BLACK)

wisdom - wisdom, knowledge, education, self-improvement, personal and professional development (BLUE, black, green)

Ancestors / Family - ancestors, dead and current relatives, family, foundation (GREEN)

Wealth / Abundance - money, wealth and abundance in all areas of life, prosperity, abundance of thinking (PURPU, GOLD, green, red)

Glory / Reputation - fame, reputation, positive recognition (RED)

Relations - relationship, love, marriage (PINK, red, white)

Children / Creativity - children, children's thinking, creativity, artistic creativity (WHITE)

Helpful People / Trave l - friends, mentors, benefactors, other helpful people, guides, safe journey (GRAY, white, black)

Health - physical and mental health (YELLOW, earth tones)

My Bagua uses several names as a reminder of different names that I can come across when I read Feng Shui books and remind you that the meaning of the name often happens sooner than it seems. (For example, “Glory” does not require a value that allows fame to become famous, but also means positive recognition and positive reputation.) Some sections also have more than one favorable color, the most favorable color in all caps.

Each section also has a direction and an element, and most of them have an associated symbol. Referrals are directed to bagua for more advanced use, but will not be used in this lesson. Symbols are illustrations of shapes associated with an element.

The main elements and forms of Feng Shui:

Fire - triangles, pyramids

metal - circles, spheres

water - wavy lines, curves

Tree - rectangles

Earth - squares, cubes

Many of the bugu include special lines called eight trigrams. Mine excludes these lines, but I found it important to mention them. In English, these lines represent sky, earth, thunder, wind, water, fire, mountain, lake. When I use my bagua, which includes some of them as “elements,” they think of mountains as earth, wind as wood, and heaven as metal.

So how do you read the bagua?

Since any space can be analyzed using bagua, the first thing you want to do is decide which space you want to analyze, be it one room, a smaller space, such as a table or a floor plan. In this lesson, we will act as if we are analyzing a room.

Then determine the main entrance to your space and stand in the porch facing the room or space. (In the Black Hat Sect method, the main entrance to the space is always the mouth of the chi.)

Keep your bagua with the “Wisdom / Career / Helpful People” sections facing you and parallel to the main entrance wall. The main entrance always falls into the realm of wisdom, career or useful people.

Determine which section you are in. For example, if you are analyzing a room, is it the entrance in which you are standing left, center, or right? The left corner / area is the area of Wisdom, as shown on the map of Bagua. The middle area is the Career area. The right angle / area is the area of useful people.

Then where are the other sections of the bagua map? If you have problems using the Bagua Octagon, use the Square Bagua (as it best represents the usual American room shape) or draw a titanium-taco-stick board on the octagon to facilitate the visualization of the divisions.

So what? What does Bagua do for me?

Once you know which area of your room or space falls in each part of the bagua, you can begin to make changes to the area of the bagua that represents the life aspiration in which you want to influence.

Let me say that you want better health for you or someone in your family. First , find out where the health area is in your house with a bagua card. second , look at bagua to see which colors, shape and element fit this aspiration. The yellow / earth tones, the squares and the Earth correspond to the health area of Bagua. Thirdly , place objects or paint the colors of this area of the bagua in this area of your home to improve the aspiration of this area. You can place a pot of yellow clay (earth) or a potted plant in a health area or draw health with the most conspicuous wall marigold.

It! Once you've used bagua, as soon as it is easy, and dare I say, fun? - use it again and again.

Next steps

Do not limit yourself or feel disappointed with feng shui, if all you know about it is bagua. Colors and elements of bagua are not the only way to use feng shui to improve the area in your life. Each color, including not in the bagua, has a psychological effect on our subconscious, as well as flavors, sounds and textures. Different types of gems and other items also have other symbolic meanings associated with them.
