After Christopher Columbus and his team landed on the islands of western India, in 1492, to be exact, and then on the mainland of North and South America (North American history), the story began to go even further. The peoples of Europe have awakened to a new reality. We are talking here about the countries of Europe, because by this time all other areas where they had not awakened such an idea before. History books also mention that these other nations, who were still asleep, attributed their slumber to the fact that they participated in the adventures, not realizing their consequences. Some communities from Asia and Africa did not realize their role and place on this globe.
The next five hundred years saw the world moving in the direction of trade, turning into the formation of colonies and empires, and also temporarily creeps free.
The sunset of the XVI century (that is, from the year 1500) saw how the nations of Europe set them in the manner outlined briefly above. The Portuguese, Spanish, French, Dutch, Great Britain (England, Wales, Scotland) all began to steadily take their share, role and place in this gradually developing new life.
Based on their adventures, trade was born. Such trade is of unrepresented size. The Portuguese sought to explore the far east - a mission that witnessed their trip through the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa. On this cape the flame of hope was often revived by these sailors. Hope for ultimate exploration east of the Indian Ocean. Here is the cloak of "Good Hope."
The Spaniards traveled west to western India and southern America. English-speaking people took the western route, which landed them in western India and on the mainland of North America
In all the areas to which these spontaneous explorers came, they instinctively and deliberately declared and ever indoctrinated their serf institutions and settlements, which later became known as colonies.
Colonies have so far been established along the coast of West Africa; western states; the main land of South America; and the North American mainland. The colonies turned out to be very valuable for these European countries. These final colonies acted as new bases for the colonial masters and their allies could visit and, where possible, settle. In addition, these colonies also used abundant raw materials for other already established industries in Europe. For colonies dealing with crops such as cotton, sugarcane, sisal, and tobacco plantations, the West African region offered free labor in the form of slaves.
Ships may load manufactured goods from European countries in order to carry them to their colonies in exchange for raw materials. Then the raw material could be used in manufacturing processes in Europe. The ships came to a certain route that led them from Europe, then to the West African coast; then across the Atlantic Ocean to the west (western India and America) ... then further north back to Europe. This route actually forms a triangle that has ever been called the Great Triangular Trade Route. Trade deals in this trade were also collectively called the “Commodity System”, or also better known as mercantilism.
