Parents are always looking for free and easy ways to improve their children's education. School funding plays a big role in the education that your child receives, especially if you are in a smaller school, for example, in a church school or in a private school that has an independent school. There are several school fundraising and fundraising programs that parents can participate in to help raise funds for their schools. The following paragraphs describe some of the simplest, easiest, and most popular ideas for raising money in school, in which parents can participate:
1. Campbell labels for education - Campbell's Campaign for Education fundraising labels has been collected over the years and provides large amounts of funding to schools across the country every year. The process is simple - just clear your Campbell's soup labels and turn them into your school. Then your school will send them to Campbell to buy them back to finance the school. Also, did you know that all Campbell labels don't cost the same amount of money? I discovered that the Campbell Chunky Chilis line is actually worth 5 soum labels! Campbell offers many other products that you can turn into your school for funding - this is not limited to soups! For more information about Campbell's fundraising fundraising program and the many Campbell products that are worth funding for your school, visit the Labels for Education website.
2. Common Box Box Tops For Education - This fundraising program is very similar to the Campbell program mentioned above. Simply purchase any General Mills products labeled Box Top for Education, turn it on to your school, and they, in turn, will send it to finance the school. It's simple. You can learn more about this fundraising program by visiting the Box.
Tops For Education website.
3. Your local grocery store - Many grocery stores have fundraising programs where they will donate a percentage of the money you spend on groceries, to the school or organization of your choice. For example, in my neighborhood there is a food lion shop that has a card called MVP card, where you can get groceries at a discount if you are a member of MVP. Then, every time I shop at Food Lion and use my MVP card, a part of my total grocery shopping will be donated to my school. It is so simple! Hey, we all have to eat, so why not benefit your school in the process, since it's so easy! To see if there is a food lion in your area, visit the Food Lion website. If not, contact your local grocery stores — I am sure that at least one of them has a similar fund-raising program.
4. Restaurant night - This is an idea that I think is healthy! Local restaurants (such as Fuddruckers, Chick-Fil-A, and CiCi-Pizza, to name a few), have a preferential night that provides funding to the school or organization of your choice. It works like this: you go to a restaurant, and when you order food, tell them that you would like them to finance. The restaurant then takes a percentage of the total amount of food and donates it to the school or organization of your choice for funding. Many restaurants have these types of fundraising programs, so the next time you go, ask about it and enjoy the food even more, knowing that you are funding your school!
5. Contributions to the store - Did you know that you can provide school funding every time you use a department store card? For example, Target offers a school fundraising program, where they will donate a percentage of the school of your choice for every purchase you make on your target visa or on a Red Card. All you have to do is link your card to the school of your choice through the target site, and they will send money to your school. Again, it's easy!
The above paragraphs list only a few simple and easy school funds and fundraising. They do not need to sell candy, candles or pizza (not that something is wrong with these fundraising ideas, but they require more effort), and they provide your school with funding all year round to buy items and things that you will still buy.
Good luck with your school funds and fundraising!
