Owning a part of your own hunting property is without a doubt one of the best things when it comes to hunting. I hunted the public lands in which my people live, and I'm definitely ready for a change. I grow hunting for various games. My love of nature led me to a degree in fishing and wildlife at the University of Minnesota. After working in several different organizations, I am now a real estate agent who specializes in hunting properties. Over the years I have learned what is needed and what can be done on hunting grounds to improve the quality of hunting. As I review these 4 tips, keep in mind that each property, population, and region is different. Some of these tips may work for you, and some may not.
- Highly rated FOOD PLOT
Food sites are a new rage when it comes to attractive wildlife in your property. Not only will food plots help attract wildlife to your property, but they will provide you with a place to watch and even chase / wait for your game. This is a highly effective strategy that I provide, subject to certain conditions, and the owner takes time to learn the right equipment in the construction of supply sites.
- OPENING
Like food plots, wild animals open up food, and sometimes even cover various types of wild animals. The discovery of wildlife is mainly a cleared area that allows you to grow a teenager and young saplings. These young plants and trees can provide a very large amount of animal feed. These open spaces allow you to grow forage such as herbs, clovers, precious stones and berries such as raspberries. Revelations of the wild nature are much easier to work on, because they don’t need much attention if they are in the future, unlike food sites. They are great if you do not have the time, money or equipment to control the full air. My next tip will show you some cheap and one-time add-ons that you can add to the opening.
- Mast producing trees
The masts that produce trees are mostly trees that produce forage from their domes. One of the highly prized wildlife trees in Minnesota are Apple trees. Apple trees are great for wildlife and hunting resources, because once they are created, they can produce a huge amount of wildlife food during the fall season for many years. Apple trees can be a great addition to the discovery of wildlife.
- Trails
Although trails are naturally found in the desert, it can be very useful to add or keep them in your property. Most wild animals prefer the path of least resistance, so you will find trails through the forest. Maintaining current routes or even creating routes will allow you to follow the local wildlife population. Trails provide a great place for gaming cameras that allow you to see and track the game, even if you are not around.
I hope you enjoyed these tips and keep in mind that not all properties may be suitable for these methods. If you are new to property, I suggest you pick up a few books or read some other articles to learn more about the subject of managing your property for wildlife.
