1. Use the "Right Tools". First of all, use the right tools. It seems a stupid moment to start. Believe me, there are so many people who start and use the wrong tools in this business. If you can, use professional scrapers, soaps and applicators.

2. Clean scrubber. There are many window cleaners that start working with a dirty scrubber. Make sure it is a clean scrubber or a lamb hair applicator, sponge and / or porcupine. Put it like this: a dirty applicator can leave dirt on the window and a very unhappy customer. All you have to do is clean the scrubber often if you are cleaning several windows - especially really dirty windows.

3. Hold the squeegee correctly - try and hold the squeegee at an angle so that the water runs down the glass; I say 45 degrees. You do not want water to flow from either end of the squeegee.

4. You have a choice of canal or squeegee sizes. Thanks to your window cleaning, you will be engaged in many different types of windows that come in all shapes and sizes. Having a wide selection of channels or scrapers will not help you.

5. Wipe the blade - after each mop stroke, always wipe the rubber knife with a lint-free cloth. Placing a wet scraper on the glass will leave a blade mark. You quickly correct the blade.

6. Do not cut it too close. Try putting a mop each turn of about 1 inch, if you can. Angle squeegee, so that water flows to the surface of the wet surface on the window, do not cut into a clean and dry area.

7. Be conservative with water. What does it mean? Try not to use too much water when you apply the scrubber to the surface. I know that this is easier said than done, try practicing at home or in a friend's window to get this technique in order. You really want the dirt to come off the window with this decision, but not too much so that you have your own water shower leaving water on the windowsills!

8. Shake the mop / scrubber. When you clean the windows outside, get rid of excess water by shaking the scrubber in an up / down direction from any windows. This will ensure the correct amount of solution is applied to the surface.

9. Use less water inside. If you have work to clean the windows inside, use as little water as possible than outside for obvious reasons.

10. Remove the clutter - if you are cleaning the inside, always remember to clear all the objects and interferences from the window sills (better ask your customers to do this). It makes your job ten times easier and allows you to clean better.
