Ask yourself where you will end up using it most in salt water or fresh water. You can not use the motor with fresh water in salt water. Since I live near the coast, I have a salt water motor. I can also use it in fresh water and rivers when fishing on land.
Saltwater engines are more resistant to corrosion due to the more rigid state in which they operate, but cost a little more.
What mountain
The size and type of boat you have will help you decide whether you need a tram with a transom or a bow. Usually with a small ship under 14 feet, the engine mounted on the transom works well. For larger boats or superior maneuverability, a bow mount is installed, but it should have a space in front where you can fix the hull bracket.

More factors that should influence your decision will be in the shape of a hull, a bow or a feeding height, and the average number of people per boat.

These trolling motors are controlled manually or by feet. For a nose mount engine, the foot control is the most popular method. You can also control your boat electronically using cool features such as autopilot, pilot and GPS pilot.
