Suman Mute is based in Nasik, Maharashtra and since 20 has been active in the field of child welfare and the development of women, especially in the Maharashtra tribal belts of India. She initiated and implemented several projects and was guided by women in various aspects, such as children's health, women's rights, family counseling, etc. In recognition of her contribution, she was awarded by many organizations that include the state award of the Maharashtra government, Ahilyabai Holkar Puraskar for outstanding contributions to society in the development of women and children.
The Siddha Sewa Award from the Swami Hardas Foundation, Pune is her 22nd award in her list of confessions. In addition to working on the ground, she has written four books, lectures, and is a prolific writer. Suman Muth began his career as a teacher, teaching sociology and Marathi. She then completed her work by M.Fil, Working Women of the Tribe, which focused on the models and problems of women working in the tribe, how they evolved over the years and from backward areas, how they dealt with various problems in urban areas
She then volunteered to work with the Satyanyketan property in the small town of Rajur in the Ahmednagar district. Although this trust has been functioning for over 50 years in tribal areas, there are so many issues that have not yet been resolved. The Satanyiketan Trust was founded by the Handians, and most of their work was in the field of education through ashram schools, regular schools and colleges. The work of Suman Mute in this trust has focused on the development of women and children in these tribal areas. Some of the common problems encountered in these areas include lack of basic education, health and malnutrition, problems at sea, lack of education in the field of women's rights, sanitation and environmental protection.
Suman Muthe carried out various projects and camps with the help of volunteers in this trust and successfully implemented projects related to the above problems. The issue of the illegal exploitation of women in these areas has been reduced, given the efforts made by Suman Mut. Even at the age of 64, she offers to visit these villas, meet with members of the trust and make the greatest possible contribution.
On her family front, she is also an example of someone who very well balanced her working life with family life. Mother of two children, she is doing everything possible to deal with various family matters and take care of her family. Her life is a vivid example of selfless work in society and the best use of knowledge for the less privileged.
