 Four generations of YUMMMMM -2

In the small seaside village of Abruzzi, Italy, the Eliso family awoke to a new bright dawn. The year was in 1910. Pop D Elizo looked forward to the realization of his dream of prosperity, which, according to rumors, abounded in the new world. They were going to America!

This step ended before the family found out about it, and they settled in a very modest, two-story, brown stone in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Many other Italian families did the same, so shortly before the Eliso family found and joined the local Italian Presbyterian church. The pastor worked tirelessly to provide a refugee where other Italian immigrants could keep their traditions. Here they formed many solid bonds, as together they began to acclimatize in the new environment.

It was there, in 1941, in an area known as East Liberty that the middle son of Pop, Anthony, met and married the beautiful Columbus Faldo. As their family grew, they enjoyed the love and traditions that are largely part of every Italian family. In 1941, Anthony became a baker and cooked for the US Army during World War II. After the war ended, in 1943 the call of California did not die from this soldier, turned man. It didn't take long before the Eliso family took root and headed for the new “Promised Land”. In 1956, with a cry on the lips of “California here we came!” They left Pennsylvania.

In 1961, Anthony and Columbus settled in Whittier, California, where they opened the Bread D & E 39; Eiso. Their daughter, Gloria and son, Anthony, worked right by their parents after school. They helped the daily tasks of working in the bakery, working in the kitchen and on the counter as needed. While the family worked side by side in the kitchen baking family secret recipes handed down from generation to generation. When young Anthony grew up and matured, and learned secrets from his father, his love of baking multiplied. Over time, Elder Anthony retired, and the youngest continued the tradition of baking with the family bakery D & E Eliso.

For six years, when young Anthony matured as a baker in his own right, his sister, Gloria, was busy raising a family. Only after a recent extended family trip to Italy to visit the villages of the Virgin and Virgin Mary of Abruzzo and Calabria, did the family heritage and passion for baking and serving authentic Italian cookies and cakes be rekindled. It was decided to kindle the flames, as the family wandered through the narrow streets of Italy with their youngest daughter Elizabeth. When once again on American soil they formed my little taste of Italy with the promise of baking and serving, with passion, authentic Italian pastries and cakes.

Today, the family owns and manages My little taste of Italy which has become world famous for its authentic treasures. When Liz, as Elizabeth became known, created her unique recipe for Cappuccino Brownies the news of their rich and creamy to die, the good quickly spread. It was not long before Cappuccino lizaki were called “Orgasmic!”. Jan Verhoff, one of their regular customers.

Along with the help of the daughter Gloria, Liz and her grandchildren, My little taste of Italy fills orders throughout the United States and, as you know, sends their donations to soldiers who serve abroad. Even the youngest, Loving Luke, just 8 months old, was lit in his tiny hand by an interfering spoon.

They recently created two new biscotti flavors that they pack in a very unique way for delivery on Valentine's Day, which can be sent to your soldier, as well as to your loved ones. This new offer comes in two versions; Grand Marnier, dipped in rich Italian chocolate, and their flavored biscotti, prepared by Spumoni, also embarrassed the same. For those who want to add a little spice to the mix, a twist is created for the old favorite. In the Florentine cookies, a completely new zine was given with the addition of chocolate chips, espresso beans and cayenne pepper to standard almonds. This alternative version of Valentine was definitely named “Hot Mommas” and will surely revive the lives of your loved ones.

What sets My little taste of Italy these are not only real recipes of the old world, but also an added touch created by their imaginative representation. Their Valentine package, I said, will be packed with an assortment of fun items such as wedding favors and wax lips. “I’m sure this gift bag will light a fire on your love, this Valentine’s Day,” says Gloria.
