Kach-lites
In the southeast of Alaska, there is Lake Kakhets, which literally means "fishing." Kah Sheets is well known for fly fishing, especially for Alaskan trout fishing. Thugs, a rainbow, a steel head and bush broth are all common in Kach-sheets. Other available fish species include red and silver salmon. The river is somewhat remote, so you need to access it with float plan. You can also rent a bathroom for forestry at the lake for a longer fishing trip.
River Kasilof
Located in the southeastern part of the state, the river Kasilof is another place for fishing in boats. In Kasilof, you can find many of the same kinds of fish that are available in the Kenai River, but Kasilof has a much quieter atmosphere and less crowding.
