A loaf of bread - what else do you need in Orange County California -2

I used to make bread. I loved getting my disappointments by kneading it. Loved the flavor in my house while it was baked. There was nothing better to serve with one of my home-made canteens or soups for dinner. My family loved every bread. They loved not only delicious, but also sweet. A thick slice toast with some canned goods for breakfast was supposed to drool on many cold mornings.

Then they grow and go. Making a loaf of bread for just hubby and I'm pretty funny. I rarely eat a sandwich and prefer breakfast cereal. Habbi is one of those people who won't eat bread without him. After that, he considers it obsolete and will not touch him.

Now, when the soup season comes, I buy a loaf of artisan bread and use what we need and freeze the rest. Here are some of the best I've found in Orange County:

Believe it or not - Costco! Especially if our "children" join us. Daily delivery of the most remarkable artisan bread from the bakery La Brea. Our favorite is either rosemary and olive oil, or kalamata olive oil. The only drawback, besides buying two large breads, is that you must be an expert in slicing!

Von or Pavilion also has wonderful artisans bread with many flavors and textures to choose from. What I especially love about this new “bread bar” is that they will cut bread to your specifications! Thin, thick, it does not matter, they will adapt. They also have an area for making their own nut oils. So you can really think of a rather old fashioned PB & J (peanut butter and jelly)!

Panera is a synonym for gourmet bread. Tucked away next to the Materal Market in Costa Mesa, this small place produces amazing products. The aroma of excellent baking is really intoxicating. It was worth the trip and the wait, which I visited both times, was about 15 minutes.

Pacific Whey Baking Company in several locations throughout the county. In addition to the wonderful breads, the breakfasts here are awesome. Personally, my favorite is actually a chocolate pin. Excellent bakery products no matter what you choose here. Believe me, when you see the display, you will NOT stop at a loaf of bread.

Now I personally didn’t like Boudin Bakery very much, but there are a lot of people who think that there is a better leaven in this place. They boast a 150-year-old starter. Maybe I prefer the starter, which I tried in Vie en France better, only because the staff persuaded me better. You decide.

If challah, Jewish rye and diaper nickel are what you lean, then go no further than to the Solomon bakery in the Laguna hills or to the Katella bakery in Los Alamitos. Both are made on concessions, and all kinds are very good.

Remember that bread is the subsistence of life - all of the above possibilities are aware of this and force him to take home one of his own loaves and have a snack.
