Oregon is located between Washington and California. This area is probably more densely populated than most people think, especially near the northwestern part of the state. At one time, the area code 541 did not exist. The only code in Oregon was code 503. Code 541 was recently removed from 503. Split took just over half a year. This area now contains the cities of Eugene, Dulles, Pendleton, Albany, Medford and Springfield. This code also includes the vast countryside of the state.
Not only that, it also covers part of Del Norte County in northern California. Most codes remain in the state, but this is one of the exceptions. This area of California is small and includes only areas where 541-596 starts with their phone number. This can be very good, because this area is served by the Frontier phone service, and the code is the same as in the numbering.
Area code 541 is only one of the latter, to distract from the numbering system of a normal area code, which used zero or one as an average. The first of these new codes was used in Washington and Alabama. Now that all collides are being added to all parts of the United States, mainly due to the demand for mobile phones, many are moving away from the original configuration.
If you receive calls that come from city code 541, you will now find out that they originate from a vast area of Oregon, or perhaps a small part of California.
