Important tips and equipment for camping -2

Well, a fair percentage of people, like camping. Some of them, on weekends, even left their well-furnished bedrooms and set up a tent in their gardens where they spent the night.

Please be sure that camping, which is done very often, can be addictive.

Did you know that retired soldiers who spent most of their time in camps located in isolated places, such as forests, jungles, forests and mountains, were always eager to go camping?

If you want to go hiking in a very distant place, you must make a very good plan for your trip before you go. Always make sure that someone trustworthy, who is not going with you, knows the coordinates of the place where you are going to go.

Another thing he / she needs to know is the time you are going to spend. This is a very important question if you have something bad.

I really feel obliged to share with you this story about what happened to one of our brothers when he was in camp with his family.

The story goes like this: “On Saturday, at dawn, this guy, along with his wife and their two teenage sons, got into their Land Rover and left their home.

They will return on Sunday at noon.

Six hours later, their car stopped, and they all went down and stretched their bodies. They were in an area that was colonized by savanna-vegetation. The area was also infected with zebras, wildlife and antelopes. Although they were tired, the four quickly pitched three tents.

The first tent was for the man and his wife, the second for the two boys, while the third tent was designed to accommodate their positions in the tents.

After lunch, they left the camp and went west, taking video and photographing. By sunset, they returned to their camp. They were only two hundred meters from the camp when they saw something like a kurgan near their tents. The third tent was demolished. The fact that she invited herself to their camp was a male elephant.

The four waited until the elephant decided to leave the camp. They watched him as he walked east, limping slowly. His left hind leg was injured. He was injured by another male elephant, or perhaps some poets. They look into their heads when they stop near the tents.

All the fruits, vegetables and bread that were in the tent were eaten by an elephant. This left only some canned food. He also crushed two twenty-liter bottles of water.

Assessing the damage caused by the elephant, they identified the tent, which was demolished. Later they enjoyed dinner around the fire. At about 2,300 hours, when it was time for them to go to bed, the boys told their parents that they were not going to spend the night in their tent.

They were afraid that the elephant might return to the camp at night and cause serious damage.

Father honored boys. Emotion and handed them the key for Land Rover. After the boys went to the car, he kissed his wife, then put down the fire, and then went to his tent.

The next morning, after breakfast, the man went to the car. He wanted to park it under a tree before leaving the camp to inspect the area, as on the previous day. He turned the key, but the car could not start. The battery has been chewed. The boys left the car radio playing music when they slept last night.

The radio played music all night until the battery discharged all its strength.

Now they had real problems! The nearest settlement was 75 miles from the hotel, and they were about 10 miles from the sandy road, which could be called the main road. And this sandy road was rarely used. All the phones that were at their disposal lost the network. Now it became obvious that their vacation was ruined!

The man offered his family to stay away, because he was going to look for someone who could help them with the battery, but his family did not agree. Without him, on their side, they felt insecure. They camped and loaded their stuff into the car. Having blocked the car, they went on foot to the east and delivered several valuable items.

After walking about a mile, they met the pride of lions who walked their way. They quickly changed direction and moved south. On their flight, they went through another pride that rested. The lions were full, they did not attack them. Next to them was the carcass of a buffalo, which they filled and ate all night.

They changed direction again and now fled west and changed direction many times. By the time they stopped working, they were now lost. None of them could tell the direction to the sandy road to which they wanted to go.

After more severe obstacles in the savannah for five days, they were very lucky that they were found by scouts who were looking for poachers who killed the rhino for his precious horn.

From the game scouts, they learn that the elephant who pushed the tent that contained their positions was probably attracted by the scent of apples. Elephants like apples!
