If you want to start a fitness kickboxing course that combines aerobic and anaerobic activities with martial arts - you will want to look at the land on which you stand. Since you will be doing a lot of moving movements and standing, it is important that the surface on which you train, offers a little to give and take to help protect your knees, ankles and back. However, you do not want the surface to be too soft, which actually does more harm than good.
A great fitness floor for kickboxing would have been made from branded EVA puzzle mats, similar to those used as combat carpets in many training centers. These mats are interconnected, so you can move them as you wish and create your own fitness card. For example, if you have enough space, you can get them to run a small circle on red mats. You could make them do weight lifting on black mats. How about rolls and falls, pushups or squats on blue mats. You can even fold mats for more add-ons and move them when you're done.
For example, we cover the entire floor with red mats. Then in the corner there is a stack of multi-colored puzzles. We can take the ones we need and create mats on the mats, when we want to either have more cushions, or separate the training area, using different colored puzzles.
What is great about blocking mats for fitness and martial arts is not only durable foam, but what I love is that you can even wear shoes on them or do fitness kickboxing without fear of spoiling your mats. They are truly multi-purpose. You also do not need to worry about jump routes or even put weight on them. Although you will want to keep anything with a sharp edge from the foam mats, as they are easy to cut. However, this will not reduce their effectiveness.
The strategy we would like to use is to embrace fitness kickboxing with a square full square. This gives us a cushion, but also a cheap piece of carpet that looks beautiful and is easily replaced. Simply select the cheapest carpet you can get from your home store. We usually do this if we want participants to wear shoes that they have on the floor, otherwise they will shred dirt in foam mats that are harder to clean.
If you only have your members using shoes when they are on floor mats, you do not need to use carpet. However, sometimes you can do this simply to change the appearance of the floor.
