The location of the La Quinta Inn is one of the best places to stay when you need a home base away from home, which is convenient for both the business district and the airport. Personally, I love the Pittsburgh La Quinta Inn airport. What for? Because this is where I live! I like to relax for breakfast when my family and friends stay there when they visit.
But they always ask: “What does La Quinta mean?” It certainly sounds Spanish, but my sister, who is a Spanish teacher, can only come up with an explanation of what it means to be the fifth. A? So this is the La Quinta Inn fifth hotel? Probably no.
I have a little tears. I looked up at some other place called La Quinta (not as rare as you can imagine) and found an old town called La Quinta. According to their sales department, the word is archaic (i.e., no longer used). Like Netscape Navigator and Big Mouth Billy Basses). This meant that the hacienda or the rest stopped on this path in a very long journey. Every five days, travelers took off the cargo in one of these “la quintas”. So, you go - this is where you stay to charge on the fifth day of travel.
Now, when you visit the La Quinta Inn at the airport, you obviously will not travel by horse or foot. But with all the sightseeing tours and business visits and family visits, you can imagine what should have been so that for those early travelers it was possible to take the load off in five days.
