Tourism in Israel: 10 best trips to the Israeli national trail -2

Hiking in Israel offers a wide range of experiences and adventures for all ages and levels of experience. Israel’s national trail, covering 620 miles from north to south of Israel, covers most of the most beautiful and beautiful hiking trails in Israel. Not surprisingly, the best traces of the day on the trail. Here are the 10 best day trips for people and families looking for trips to Israel. Evaluating the best day trips on the Israeli national highway is not an easy task. If I had to write only one trip, Karbuletskaya Mountain would have won a prize. Many tourists consider this the most beautiful day on the trail, but it is also the most difficult. The general opinion is that the Negev desert is the most beautiful part of the trail. Negev is also my personal favorite. 75% of Israel agree with me.

When you travel in the wilderness, you sometimes feel lonely before the earth and god. The night sky of the Negev is different; it has many more stars than any other region due to its low population and low pollution. Vision is amazing. Awakening before a cold morning in the desert is unlike anything else. Everything is blissfully quiet. I would recommend 5 trails in the Negev region and five north of Arad. In my personal opinion, this is all better than in the northern part of Israel, but they are not ordered in order of preference (with the exception of Mount Carbulet, which I will discuss at the beginning).

Unless otherwise indicated, you can get close to the beginning and end of a day trip with a private car or taxi. Logistics back and forth, as a rule, drives your car from one end and takes a taxi back to your car at the other end. All routes are described from north to north.

Detailed descriptions of routes from both directions, along with topographic maps that allow you to navigate, are found in the Hiking Israel National Trail Guide (The Red guide).

1. Mount Carbul : This is the most beautiful as well as the most difficult day trip. The length is 18 km. It begins at the gates of the Oron plant and ends at the night camp in Mador Street, accessible only on 4X4. This hike is for experienced hikers, and the view is gorgeous everywhere. You will walk along the edge of the ridge, to your west - the abyss, and to the east - 45 degrees. Many people compare this with walking on the edge of a knife.

On this way there are several steep ascents and hills. You should wear at least 6 liters of water per person and more on hot days. Walking along the ridge is slow and difficult, but the descent through the Afran stream is more difficult. You MUST exit the Afran stream to the night stick, the trail is dangerous for walking in violation of visual conditions. Plan your time carefully and make sure that you are not in the dark hours. Take a flashlight, for any occasion. If time does not allow you to exit the Afran stream, you should avoid it and exit through the Madora stream.

HIking from Oron through Mador takes about the same time as only the lower part through Afran, despite the fact that the latter is longer. This segment is not recommended for large groups from October to March, as they tend to rise slowly. It is also recommended to keep your groups small and agile. Trekking to the desert zone is dangerous in itself, small failures can turn into big trials in the desert environment. Travel safely and enjoy.

2. Nadiva gardens in Caesarea : This is a 10 km hike. It is easy and convenient for families. You do not need more than 3 liters of water per person, and there is enough space for replenishment. You can add the “Taninim River” (the Alligator River) to your path to travel up to 13 km. This is one of the most varied day trips on the Israeli national trail, and you have something to offer: nature and a beautiful spring flower, beautiful landscapes, archaeological sites and an amazing seashore. It begins in the beautiful gradients of Ha-Nadiv, especially beautiful during springtime. Carmel Edge (Hotem Ha & Carmel) offers breathtaking views, and the walk is steep, but short and quick. Be careful if the last rains leave the ground slippery. In rare cases of the sunken river Taninim, you must bypass it through the old Benjamin quarry and return to the north. You walk along the Taninim River, and then cross route 4 through the underpass. You will see the 10th symbol of the Roman legion, carved in stone, they built an aqueduct. Cross Jiser a Zarka and get to the picturesque village of fishermen. Walk south along the beach to get to Caesarea, where you can enjoy a tour of the old ruins.

The view from the Mitzpe Ramon promenade is one of the most beautiful views on the Israeli national trail. There is only one tree on this path, and you can rest in its shadow.
