Three major mistakes when building an outdoor kitchen
So, here you are, ready to build this open kitchen, and you want to "do it right." Here are some key mistakes that people have made over the years.
T Three of my mistakes that I saw are as follows:
1). Choice of equipment for outdoor kitchens : I know ... I know ... outdoor equipment is expensive. But you should keep in mind that most manufacturers have unique cut sizes, and you cannot change the equipment brand after its installation. Therefore, carefully select and be sure to check the warranty of the manufacturer and its functions.
2). Design and placement of outdoor kitchen - The design should match the size of your backyard area and provide the function you need. If you want people to sit and talk with you when you are doing a barbecue, make sure you have a seating area. In addition, you can not have enough counterweights .... period.
Many people are mistaken in the premises of an open kitchen or built-in barbecue in a commonly used area - do not do this if possible. Use “unused space”, whenever possible, by extending patio panels or plate assembly. In addition, watch for walking areas and, when possible, select a covered area (be sure to check local building codes before building under a shed).
3). Using "Manufacturers and sellers for outdoor kitchen construction" - There are all kinds of “Manufacturers offering built-in barbecues, open kitchens, outdoor fireplaces - BE CAREFUL! These people do not have a license or have the right to create their own outdoor kitchens or individual built-in barbecues in your home. not insured, and there can be no treatment you can take if the project turns into a disaster. In Florida, unlicensed activity is a criminal offense and should be reported.
Remember, it must be fun! Do your homework, get qualified designers and contractors, and you will get the most out of your project outdoors!
