Start drawing - 6 main components and a list of tools -2

How to draw is a question that is often asked to children, children, students, mothers, teachers and many others. Thus, drawing skills can be performed in the same way as writing. It may seem difficult to attract if you have never tried, but as you practice, you become better and better until you achieve success.

There are 6 components before starting to draw, and each one is extremely important when you are in a real start. So do not rush with them, take a few days and train your eyes and hands.

6 Components to consider before starting to draw:

  1. the lines - start drawing lines. No, I'm not kidding ... take a pencil and paper and start drawing simple curved lines, straight lines, vertical, horizontal diagonals, twists and spirals. This is also what I do, like “warming up” every time, before I start drawing.
  2. the form - draw different shapes. Use strings and close them. create free shapes with curved lines or straight lines. Draw also basic shapes - squares, circles, triangles, ovals, rectangles, cones, and more.
  3. The form - turn your shapes into shapes. Sphere from a circle, a frame for pictures from a square, etc.
  4. Shading - Turn your shapes into 3D — make them real when you add shading. Add shadung according to the light source on the form - object. If the light comes out of the upper left position, so parts of the objects remain bright, and all the lower parts of the objects will get shading on them.
  5. Cast shadow - It is a shadow that falls on another surface due to a lack of light, just like your own shadow on the sidewalk at night, when the street light is behind you.
  6. prospects - this is a formal way to draw what you see. Perspective defines how objects are reduced by distance when you add height, width, and depth. His actual drawing is the depth of the object in the right direction.
  7. Composition - adds dynamic drawing when you draw several objects. Let's say you drew an apple and 2 pears. Do not draw them in a line and do not put them in equal places on the drawing sheet. Think of an interesting way to lay them out.

Now that you know these basic components, you should be ready to launch. I decided to explain the basic tools that you need for pencil drawings.

  1. A variety of pencils: H2, 6B and 4B. This is a different degree of wire, the softer the lead, the higher the number. More rigid conclusions are intended for drawing and drawing, and softer ones - to shade your drawing.
  2. Eraser: There are different types of erasers: mixed and vinyl, they just pick up the lead from your paper, you can mold them to a point to erase tiny space or mold them into other shapes to make interesting textures. You do not need to clean them - just dab. Rubber and rubber erasers are made to remove large areas.
  3. Paper: for pencil drawings there are various types of paper. They vary in color, thickness, surface and texture. Start with smooth paper, such as Bristol, then experiment with better paper.
  4. Paper stump: it is made to create different textures on your drawings, and also helps to blend.

Now that you know about pencil drawings, you need to sharpen your pencil and start drawing lines and shapes to train your hand and eyes, finding the basic shape of each object. Look at the book - pull it out of the rectangle, draw an apple from the circle, and so on.
