Although not so long ago in Costa Rica, I returned to the popular beach resort of Manuel Antonio, located on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. With its green jungle-covered cliffs, dramatic tropical panoramas and glittering sunsets, Manuel Antonio is probably the most picturesque and beautiful resort area throughout Costa Rica. Last visited the resort area in December. 1994, Manuel Antonio did not change so much after adding a number of new hotels, cafes and restaurants.
One new development of tourism has caused quite a stir in Manuel Antonio, and this is “El Avion” (Aircraft) , a restaurant built near the top of the hill, offering a breathtaking view of the resort area. As part of the facade of the restaurant is the American owner - I understand that he is from Texas - propped up Chilean plane bombs near the road. When I first passed this new restaurant with its special structure, I began to shake my head and say to myself: What the hell is going on here? “The plane of the bomb is completely incompatible with the soft relaxed tropical atmosphere of Manuel Antonio and is completely at odds with the character in Costa Rica.
Many Costa Ricas are very upset about this new restaurant with a supported bomber and fair; you see, Costa Rica is a peace-loving nation, and they have long since canceled their armed forces. As one idiotic hotel owner said: “The owner of The Plane is insensitive Blanco put the plane bombs in my resort area; we are a peace-loving country! “I have since renamed this new attraction into the abomination of Manuel Antonio!
