Microsoft Word 2003 - Create a pyramid chart on the fly -2

Pyramid diagrams are clear to show the hierarchical relationship between units with different quantities. You can create such a diagram on the fly without leaving MS Word 2003.

A hierarchical relationship can also be an asymmetric relationship of superiority and subordination, as in the case of unequal political power or embedded organizational inequality.

One very famous pyramid chart is on the set of packages of products and ports, corresponding to the ratios of daily protein, carbohydrates, etc., and the total surface area of the pyramid is 100% of daily consumption.

First make sure you show your DRAW toolbar. Then follow these steps:

1) Click the 3 ball icon (the tooltip text should read “Insert Chart or Organizational Chart”) to display the “Chart Gallery” dialog box.

2) Click and select the pyramid diagram icon in the lower left corner to insert the default pyramid diagram. Click OK to display the Chart toolbar.

3) By pressing the corresponding buttons on the mini-panel and selecting the desired parameters, you can make the following changes to the diagram:

o Change text slices.

o Insert and delete fragments.

o Change the relative position of the cuts.

o Using the DRAW toolbar, you can change the color, appearance, three-dimensional shading, etc., in slices.

o You can switch to different types of diagrams.

o Apply text wrapping (if necessary).

There are many professional programs for creating graphic images, such as Adobe Illustrator. But why spend extra money when you have large free graphic tools that are already built into your MS Word?
