The Lean Process contains one of the main Six Sigma strategies for identifying and eliminating extraneous and useless steps in the process. Following the principles of Lean, a business or organization solves problems that hinder the streamlining of production methods, improve quality, retain customers and attract new customers to their existing base. Lean methods are implemented in the structure of the DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve and control) and are complemented by other valuable tools Six Sigma. The key to understanding the practice of frugality is understanding the imposed goal of reducing waste in any form that exists in business.
Courses required for certification
The five main areas of expertise are studied on a good course. These areas are:
• Management processes
• Process improvement
• Data analysis and root cause identification
• Measurement and data collection
• Definition and prioritization
For example, a subset of the data analysis object / root cause will be with something called “5-Why Analysis”. This tool is used to ignore the symptoms of a problem by going to the true problem of the problem and its cause for an existing one. The 5-Why analysis is so called because the Lean intern is expected to ask “Why” five times in a row. The idea of this is a rational assumption that by the time someone asks "why?" For the 4th or 5th time they methodically reached the real cause of the problem, which nine times out of ten is related to the ability to control understanding of the principles in relation to performance analysis and quality control.
Brainstorm
Along with Lean, DFSS certification, the Six Sigma Green Belt training courses also emphasize brainstorming or procedural creative thinking. As a team-oriented activity, brainstorming is designed to solve a problem by stating and writing it down before the start of a session. The personal specialist will know how to manage the meeting and its members in the most efficient way using flipcharts, so that each person understands the common problem and asks each small team what ideas they have on this issue. No criticism is allowed during a brainstorming session, and the leader is the only one who writes down ideas when they come from different teams. The concept of this exercise is to allow any ideas, no matter how they are off-topic, they can flow naturally to promote thinking out of the box.
