If you ask any ITEC student what area they find most difficult to learn, the quick answer is Muscles &! 39;
When you study for exams, you need to know the effect, insertion and origin of each muscle. And with 100 muscles on the ITEC course, this is a lot of information to learn.
The best way to explore this complex area is to take one muscle per A4 page. Copy and paste the muscle image and record its action, position, insertion and origin on the page next to the diagram.
For example,
Gastrocnemius (photography)
Position - back of the leg
Origin - The surface of the lateral condyle of the femur and the medial condyle of the femur
Insert - Tendo calcaneus
Action - Sit the ankle and bend the knee
Increase the font size and print this page. Do this for every muscle. When I was studying for anatomy and physiology exams, I used these sheets on the wall of my bedroom and studied one muscle every week before I got out of bed. It really helped me, because you can always save more information when you find out the first thing in the morning.
Usually you get at least 5 muscle questions on an examination paper on anatomy and physiology. This may change from time to time, but the recommendation will be 5 questions. Exam paper format is a multiple choice, so you get a question with 4 possible answers, and you choose only one.
Some examples of questions that may arise in your exam include the following:
01. What is the action of the digitorum profundus flexor?
a) bends the thumb
b) Flex the distal phalanx - Answer
c) bends the arm
d) bends the wrist
02. Which muscle is located at the top of the scapula?
a) Subscapularity
b) Splenis-Kap
c) Supraspinatus - the answer
d) Infraspinatus
03. Description of additions;
a) Move the limb from the midline
b) Moving the limit on the middle line - Answer
c) turning the limb up
d) Turn limit into center
04. What is the action brevi radius?
a) Extended fingers
b) saturates the humerus
c) The delights of the forearm - the answer
d) lengthens the wrist
When you look at muscles, you should take a few multiple-choice questions every day and study them. Set up your review plan for two weeks, learn 20 questions each day, this corresponds to 280 questions that should be sufficient to cover the muscle program.
When you have a structured plan, your revision can be a less stressful time. In preparation for the exam, make sure you have a multiple-choice question package and print out every muscle revision page and hang it on the wall.
