Chiang Mai Ram Hospital

This is a prestigious private hospital in Chiang Mai, and with a price range to fit: but again, you get what you pay for, although Ram is not necessarily where you might want you to check or appoint a doctor if you are backpackers traveling on a limited budget. Rama has extensive departments: obstetrics / gynecology, neurosurgery, pediatrician, dentistry, and all the specialists that you expect to find in any modern hospital. Indeed, Thai doctors tend to come with far more comfortable bed manners and tend to be more friendly than their Western counterparts, thanks to the emphasis on hospitality in Thai culture, as well as the Rama direction within the service sector. The staff speak fairly fluent English, usually provide quick, helpful service, and the hospital as a whole is one of the most respected in the country (overseas patients who come to Thailand for cheaper medical expenses and operations are common). Chiang Mai Ram Hotel is located in the Old Town district, close to the Central Kad Suan Kaew shopping center, and boasts a roof that was built to house an emergency helicopter landing. All reputable hotels in the city often have a contract with Ram and default on them for ambulances and emergencies.

Rajaw Hospital

Located in front of the hotel, Rajava Hospital includes specialized clinics, including a liver disease clinic, hemorrhoid clinic, digestive system disease, diabetes / thyroid and cholesterol clinic, dermatology, geriatric clinic and menopause clinic. Their service centers range from cancer to endoscopy, and they have surgeons who specialize in orthopedic surgery, oncology and plastic surgery. The price range is somewhat less damaging to your wallet, but the lobby of the Rajavej hospital and waiting area are also much less glamorous to take a look at what's in Ram.

McCormick Hospital

McCormick Hospital is one of the few institutions in Chiang Mai and Thailand in general that are managed under the auspices of the Church of Christ and as such is a Catholic hospital. Considering less than Chiang Mai-Ram, there are, accordingly, fewer facilities and departments, but the cost of living and caring for the sick is also much cheaper, and they serve more budget patients. General health checks, cancer examinations, prenatal and postpartum care, a cardiology unit and an intensive care unit are available. The McCormick Hotel is located in Wat Ket, on the Keoonavarat street, not far from Dara Academy.

Lanna Hospital

Lanna Hospital is ISO 9000 certified. It offers 180 stationary beds and is distributed by employees who not only speak English, but also Mandarin and Japanese, in addition to, of course, Thai. While, like others, he offers general care in various categories of health (cardiac relief, back pain, obstetrics / gynecology, etc.), He specializes in the treatment of emergency cases. It is located on Chnag Clan Street, in the center of the city, and is one of the hospitals closest to the night market.

All hospitals listed in accordance with ISO standards are staffed by internationally trained doctors and nurses, many of which have graduated from Ivy League schools and higher medical universities in England and Switzerland. Combine this with superb hospitality, cultural friendship and relatively low costs, and Chiang Mai easily proves one of the most attractive destinations for medical tourism.
