Teaching your children who feed their bodies can be fun - this is one of the most important things you can do for them. We risk losing a whole generation of people to health problems due to their food intake, and as a parent you must take responsibility for changing it!

Pick fruits and vegetables in school lunch bags, buy a case with bottled water, serve food that will support your child every other day, and never miss breakfast! Include healthy foods where you can, for example, a dessert that says it is a cake? Make it creamy yogurt for fresh fruit. Yummm! The changes you make are lifestyle changes. You need to teach yourself and your family what your body needs - this is really a neat research project!

If your family is packed for a few extra pounds, it is even more important, and the likelihood that one or more of your children are overweight too! So, what if you do not start making changes, however, so that your family does not suffer from overweight and suffer from its long-term health effects. Just take a healthier attitude and lifestyle, and never say "diet" again! Make sure that if you are trying to help one of your children achieve a healthy weight, that you never use food as a punishment / reward system, only as a nutritious food!
