I just finished reading the “Blogging Link for All of Us” by Susanah Gardner and Shane Birlley. The book is a reference tool for blogging. As the owner of a blog directory and several popular blogs, I read the topic well and read every book that comes out about blogs. In my opinion, this is one of the best books for beginners and intermediate bloggers. This is not great for professional bloggers, but it should be obvious, because this is part of a series of "mannequins".
What I liked most about the book was how good it was, they covered every blog topic I could think about. I also like that it was written in 2008, so the information is very relevant, and they cover all the latest technologies, such as RSS feeds and social networks. They also dedicate whole images to photos, this is important, because when I first started blogging, it was one of the areas where I needed help.
Most of the book is where they talk about monetizing your blog or, in other words, how to make money on your blog. Many books are devoted to the basics, but very few are immersed in all the methods that you can use to make a few dollars for your efforts. I also like the illustrations and screenshots, so it’s very easy to follow and absorb the information presented.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend this book for beginners and intermediate bloggers. For all of you about bloggers, you might want to get past this.
