The Grand Canyon is an impressive rift on the Earth’s surface, which is about 270 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and several miles deep. This is a haven for geologists, because by their length these are layers covering almost the entire geological history of the Earth with hundreds of layers of sediments of various thickness, color, composition, and fossils. Every year it attracts millions of visitors, but despite the great interest in it, the problem of its formation still remains a mystery (1). Some believe that it was carved by the Colorado River over many millions of years, while others believe that it was done by Noah Flood several thousand years ago. None of these explanations is satisfactory to those who know Canyon well. This article proposes a completely new hypothesis, based on the observed features of the Canyon, as well as on four important factors mentioned in the Bible (2), which are:
1. Behavior of the Earth's lithosphere
2. The origin of sedimentary strata of the Earth.
3. Continental Drift
4. Recent Ice Age in North America
If these factors are fully and logically considered, the history of the formation of the Canyon is quite dramatic and explains all the features of this very famous natural miracle. To facilitate this story, I divided it into seven stages.
Earth's lithosphere or base As explained in the previous article, our planet was built one layer at a time, and the last layer was made of particles of mountain minerals, which, with heat and pressure, became a spherical shell of basalt rock about four miles thick. An important feature of foundations is that they are flexible and durable, their great weight and thickness can move vertically up or down in response to loads applied from below or above. (3) Three different loads on the foundations contributed to the formation of the Grand Canyon.
These:
1. Very strong dynamic load from a massive extraterrestrial body.
2. Load down from many layers of sediment.
3. Rising pressure from the pressure in the asthenosphere.
All these loads are explained in the following.
The origin of the sediments of the Earth “The Grand Canyon exposes a large thickness of sedimentary strata, so we first need to understand where all these deposits come from. Geologists believe that all this huge amount of precipitation has occurred from the weathering of the lithosphere by various processes over billions of years. Weathering Recognized in the Bible (Job 14: 18) and we see it happening today, but the Bible also offers a completely different origin of precipitation. It says " layers was built " in the sky" and " founded as strata on " Earth" ( Amos 9: 6). This can be reasonably interpreted as meaning that a significant part of precipitation has not been formed due to weathering, but was formed in space and settled on Earth in layers. But the Bible also offers an impressive way that the bulk of the precipitation has come to Earth. They were first brought together from another part of the same disk to form an even smaller body in space, but this time encapsulated into a lighter, more granite shell. (4) I called this body Esther in a previous article, and the way it became part of the Earth is related to the formation of the Grand Canyon. Esther fell into the gravitational setting of the Earth and was forced into an orbit that revolves around the Earth around the Earth. She moved faster from each orbit, and in her last lap she jumped like a giant ball on a very deep ocean floor in the area now occupied by the Pacific Ocean (Ps. 24: 2). This initial blow suppressed and warmed the ocean floor in the Pacific Ocean and broke the foundations for creating tremendous tension in the form of shoe shoes that split about 25,000 miles, where 75% of all volcanoes on Earth were found. Putting aside and breaking the foundations, Esther continued her final orbit to the other side of the globe, where she exploded and scattered its contents to form a huge circular pile of sediments, which made the supercontinent Pangea (4). The dent and rupture of the foundations caused by the first strike of Esther is today recognized as the Pacific ring of fire. (3). One part of this ring of fire is closer to where the Great Canyon is today, and this is very important for the formation of the Canyon, as is briefly explained.
Sedimentary Pool in Colorado - The sedimentary basin is a very large area on Earth, where layer after layer of sedimentation is deposited over a huge period of time. They can be thousands of square miles in an area and thousands of feet deep. Layers are formed from sediments, but ever become sedimentary rocks and often include fossils of plant or animal life that lived at the time. Arizona was once part of Pangea when N America was annexed to North Africa and Western Europe. This area was then just above sea level, which meant that it was regularly subjected to flooding by the sea and rivers that were bought in sediments. In this part of Pangea, a very large sedimentary basin has formed, and we can call it the sedimentary basin of the Colorado. Therefore, it should be remembered that the sediments that we see around the Grand Canyon today were actually deposited and hidden, while North America was still part of Pangea.
Recent Ice Age and Constitution - There are many geological data indicating that a large part of the surface of the earth was once covered with very thick layers of ice. However, what remains controversial is precisely how very thick layers of ice are formed, and so far no reliable theory has been put forward. However, the Bible gives us an idea of this, which is explained as follows. We live in a generation that began only six to ten thousand years ago, but there was a previous generation of life that was caused by a global flood called the Lucifer Flood, followed by a period when the Sun the heat and light of the sun could not reach the flooded Earth (Gen. 1: 2) It lasted long enough for the global ocean to freeze at a depth of perhaps one hundred feet or more. When heating from the Sun resumed several thousand years later, a partial thaw of the surface melted some of the ice, but not all. What remains below molten water is referred to in the Bible as " the firmament is in the middle of the waters ”(Gen. 1: 6). This thick slab of ice followed the curvature of the Earth and was there before the start of the dome. The very strong gravitational pull of another body knocked down all the melted water and raised the ice dome well above sea level to provide a still submerged supercontinent with a kind of global umbrella. This dome or firmament (4 and 5), as it became known, remains in place just over two thousand years old, and although it exists, all the land beneath it became a subtropical greenhouse, which allowed the plant animal and human life to flourish abundantly. The life expectancy of people living under the dome was ten times longer than today. The dome was hemispherical with a circumference of 25,000 miles at its base and was held in place for several centrifuges under zero temperatures above it and high atmospheric pressure under it. Geologists who have studied the last ice age think that in most cases North America had ice caps fifty feet or more (3), and their results were as we would expect as remnants of the destroyed sky.
The division of North America from Pangea - The Bible tells us that the supercontinent Pangea subquently divided (Gen. 10: 25) but says it happened very quickly and only about 4,000 years ago. I believe that the Bible is correct in this matter, I must conclude that North America quickly left Pangea, on its foundations were not very slowly transported by their bases, acting as a conveyor belt. The western coastline in North America was hit hard by giant waves, and then the sedimentary basin in Colorado, which was then at sea level, lost some of the upper layers of erosion.
Company breakdown When North America separated from Pangea, it approached the firm ice wall of the Firm with some speed. There was a collision, and the continuous lasted about two thousand miles, and by this time it had gained tremendous momentum. Perhaps he continued to slide even further, but abruptly stopped from this on a raised and rough ocean floor and volcanoes on a gunshot path. which was formed much earlier than Esther. All of this matters, because the formation of the Grand Canyon was caused by this double collision - first with the thick ice walls of the Constitution, and then with volcanoes and a raised ocean floor in the Pacific Ocean. In the first clash with the Constitution, all of North America was suddenly covered with very thick plates of ice. The sky literally fell on a very sparsely populated land. Large lakes such as The Great Bear, The Great Slave, Winnipeg, Excellent, Michigan, Ontario and Eyre, all of which lie on a well-defined arc of glacial / volcanic origin, as well as on the Week and the fast movement in America, which gives an explanation to this sudden and recent glaciation and volcanism of this continent.
Colorado and Grand Canyon Plateau Formation - When N America was confronted with a fire of fire, a lot of heat was created. The grounds here were already damaged, but with the arrival of the continent with an extremely hot base, they became even weaker. The partially eroded sedimentary basin in Colorado is now not only free of its weight, but also very hot and weakened foundations. The pressure due to these new foundations was now high enough to lift its new load almost 6,000 feet above its previous level. So, what a sedimentary basin at sea level in far Pangea has become a raised plateau in Arizona, and this plateau we know today as the Colorado Plateau. Its flat top could be attributed to the erosion it experienced as a sedimentary basin, while N America was in motion. The rise also raised an extremely large amount of ice that fell on the region when the Constitution was affected. This uplift of the sedimentary basin caused enormous stresses in the hundreds of layers it contained. The stronger, deeper layers of the plateau were able to withstand these stresses, but the upper layers were not, and a sample of narrow, but rather deep tensile cracks immediately appeared under the ice along the 270 km long Plateau. Ground heat, caused by friction, began to quickly melt the ice, and the resulting water began to flow into the cracks, forming hundreds of Niagara-type waterfalls. Water, especially with blocks of ice, has a huge erosion capacity, and soon the narrow cracks cracks that were formed earlier, began to expand and deepen due to erosion from above. This lasted for several years, until all the water flowed down through the cracks. The final way out of this rapid and strong erosion was the formation of the Grand Canyon, as we see today. As soon as the region became stable, new rivers were able to form and complete the course. One of them was the Colorado River, which made its way into the deepest parts of the plateau, and today this river does an excellent job of cleaning the debris, but had nothing to do with the formation of the Canyon.
Concluding remarks - In this article I gave an explanation for the formation of the Grand Canyon, which is largely based on the minority decrees given in the Bible. On this basis, the Grand Canyon is a monument to Esther, who prepared the ground and provided a good proportion of the precipitation observed in the Canyon, but also in the Constitution, which has long puzzled Bible translators.
